Asif Aziz & The Aziz Foundation

As an individual who is passionate about giving back, Asif Aziz (Muslim 500 2021) has funded numerous research students undertaking integral medical research.

Currently studying for an MSc in Molecular & Cellular Medicine at the University of Oxford through the contributions of Asif Aziz & the Aziz Foundation, Waheed Ul-Rahman Ahmed is researching the genetics of elastic tissue disorders and has also undertaken one of the largest studies into varicose veins in the world.

Through his hard work and the generous funding of Asif Aziz and the Aziz Foundation, Waheed was recently appointed to the position of an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham.

Similar to Asif Aziz’s interest in technology and entrepreneurship, Waheed is also passionate about exploring the world of Medtech and hopes to formulate strong relationships with Said Business School to explore the world of entrepreneurship.
